Our lovely Earth :) is one of its kind in the whole universe..... its also very evident that some distant galaxy might be holding some form of life very similar to us but even then we would be one of our kind! Nature has bestowed on each one of us something or other through which we define our personality, some attributes which differentiates us from the rest of the world. Still we are always looking for the stupid comparison with something or other!..... It don't makes sense to me, why should one be so concerned about this unhealthy comparison?
To me there should be only two type of comparison if we are hell bent on doing so
1. Compete with yourself, excel beyond your limits by simply stretching those to the horizon.
2. Go for the positive competition which actually propel you to work hard to improve yourself not for the sake of demeaning yourself but simply gratifying your identity. Again the irony is that you need to balance your approach because you might be end up building an ego (positive) or super ego (negative).
I am sharing with you my experiences and learnings on this topic which over years I have realized have wasted ample lot of my energy, time and so much. In spite of competing against others in negative sense I even enjoy looking for positives in my friends and foes alike and implement KAIZEN in my demeanor! Sounds pretty tough huhh but it could be done... Have the right approach :)
To an extent I have learned the art of enjoying the moment..... "Life is made up of small things" my friend but still there is lot to do...
On the ending note I like to quote "Kaun kehta he ke aasman me ched nahi ho sakta ......... zara pathar to tabiyaat se uchaalo yaaron".
Believe in your self worth, its priceless, incomparable simply DIVINE.

"Why should I bother that what will somebody think about me" is a good sentence to say but actually people perceive it wrongly which takes them towards a wrong path. And people start competing with others (with negative feeling).
Competing with yourself is a good way to achieve new heights but don’t you think it’s like a greed which can not be satisfied ever?
After your one achievement, desire of another will come in to the way and it will keep going on. I believe that after finding out the reason for your existence you should define “competition from self”.
Thanks Ravi for sharing your views. Buddy I think your answer lies in your question only "it’s like a greed which can not be satisfied ever?"
Who have asked you to satisfy your greed? If greed is making you to work hard or compete in positive sense then its good for you as well as society....... Remember Adam's INVISIBLE HAND concept.
Again as we often say that success is relative concept so is greed to me. I think you need to interpret it in positive sense which will actually give you a further towards your realization of your goal and thereby enhancing the greed to put forth a higher, more challenging quest............
Enjoy the moments
Hi Jagrat...
Gud post..
I think, there is some difference between comparison and competition.
In comparison you check who is superior out of two or more objectives.
And in competition we try to get age over others.
So first we should compare ourselves with others( but in positive way). If we find to do competition worthwhile then go for that.....
Nice insights dear
Dear,
I appreciate your answer and will try to put it in to my life.
My query is not about greed or achievements by it (in a positive sense). But i want to find out an appropriate answer of "satisfaction from life".
Hey buddy,
"Satisfactions from life" a very tough call to comment on.....
Let me suggest you a all together new concept about finding the answer to this eternal question.....
Start believing that whatever you are doing you are also deriving satisfactions from that. Just try to say to yourself daily with sincerity and follow it with an equal honest action............
See what happens! as I also not know the concrete answer but I think this exercise would actually relieve some part of your question.........
Hi Jagrat!! Good Post.
Its very important in life to analyse yourself and for analysing one need to compare and for comparing ourselves we compete with others.
Good,
Ultimately you have satisfied me by giving a diplomatic answer.
Thanks
